Who We Are

Cities need greener spaces. People who live in cities need green spaces to survive and thrive. Sow Green was established by local Bangladeshi people in Tower Hamlets to give a platform to racialised communities in urban locations a chance to contribute towards solving some of complex environmental and social problems in inner cities such as air pollution, sustainable local food ecosystems and to help build the involvement of local communities and young people most affected by environmental damage.

Too often, racialised communities are worse impacted by environmental damage, least responsible for the environmental crisis affecting our planet, and least able to have a say or be involved in efforts to challenge negative climate impacts.

We see great value in communities being better involved, informed and enabled to contribute to solving the greatest challenges to the planet today.
